Image sharpening and more...

This tutorial is for enchance an bad image to a more nice one. I use that image, not well exposed, not sharpen, not focused ! photoshop tutorial
First step is to clear dust from image with Spot Healing Brush Tool, after that duplicate background (CTRL+J). Now go to Filter-Sharpen-Unsharp Mask and use following values:photoshop tutorial
Using ideal values for your images requires understanding its three settings: "Amount," "Radius," and "Threshold."
  • Amount is usually listed as a percentage, and controls the magnitude of each overshoot. This can also be thought of as how much contrast is added at the edges.
  • Radius controls the amount to blur the original for creating the mask. This affects the size of the edges you wish to enhance, so a smaller radius enhances smaller-scale detail.
  • Threshold sets the minimum brightness change that will be sharpened. This is equivalent to clipping off the darkest non-black pixel levels in the unsharp mask. The threshold setting can be used to sharpen more pronounced edges, while leaving more subtle edges untouched. This is especially useful to avoid amplifying noise, or to sharpen an eye lash without also roughening the texture of skin.
But let's come back to our image. Set blending mode for layer to Overlay.
We have something like next image:

But still I don't like it! It's time to do something with the sky to be more frightful. Duplicate layer, and with Magnetic Lasso Tool select sky, and invert selection. Now with eraser tool we delete the mountains. After that deselect and go to Image-Adjustments-Levels and set follow value:

Ok, now we have a more nice image.

Because I don't delete the dust from the image with Spot Healing Brush, final image have some ugly points. Can be removed after the last step in this tutorial.
The great idea is to have time to take a clear image! If your camera can take RAW pitures, do it! Again use the lowest ISO value, For landscape, adjust aperture and use a tripod! Is a "must have" if you want more nice images!
Donate something if you like it

Nice tutorial. Keep 'em coming.
Btw, you should use a real site for your photos.. like deviantArt and not a shitty blog, but that's just an oppinion :)
